WW_P: Essential Woodturning Skills

Turning is fun but requires practice. The goal of the class is to review, develop, and reinforce essential woodturning skills so students may approach future projects with confidence. Perfect for students who have had little or no lathe time since their signoff class, it is also a great refresher for those who haven't turned in a while. Lathe safety and proper tool techniques will be the focus when turning 2 class projects: a bud vase (spindle turning) and a hand mirror (end grain turning). All materials will be provided.

Prerequisite: Woodturning Lathe Sign Off
Safety Dress Code: Woodshop dress code enforced. Comfortable closed-toed shoes; natural fiber clothing (wool, cotton, leather); no loose clothing; and hair and beard tied back). Masks are required until further notice.
